Stile American Black Walnut. Colour: Natural. Grade: Stile Trend. Dimensions: 14mm x 140mm x 1m – 2m. Glued to concrete.
PROJECT:
To compliment edge-grain wanut millwork, the designer wanted clean, flat-grain walnut flooring to allow the ocean view to remain as the focal point. Stile’s precise milling gave the designer a no-bevel option to give the appearance of a traditional site finished floor while shortening the construction schedule. A low sheen finish was important to avoid glare from the intense sunlight. The result was a refined, uncluttered space with extensive hidden storage and an easy to maintain floor.
