Stile Iroko, 7″ wide. Site finished using Bona Naturale. Glued to concrete.
This townhouse in Kitsilano’s Arbutus Walk neighbourhood needed updating. The client wanted something other than white oak and loved the figuring inherent in Iroko. Its distinctive grain pattern and rich tan colour create the perfect contrast to the exposed concrete and Venetian plaster feature wall.
Builder’s maple and original carpeting was removed throughout, including on the concrete stairs.
Site finishing and custom staining allowed the client and his designer to fine tune Iroko’s natural colour ever so slightly to achieve the desired tones.
